Which means his entire Trump Empire will most likely go belly up before he even leaves office. Running for office may have been the biggest mistake of his life.

They won't vote for the Democrats because the D's are communists, liberals, satan-worshippers, heathens and n***er-lovers.
Will they abandon all hope and simply stop voting altogether?
Or will they turn to somebody even more fascist, even more racist, even more prone to casual violence/torture/warcrimes than Trump?

(46,080 posts)Some will become more entrenched as fascist-racists. Some will consider a replacement politically. Some will leave the movement altogether.
Consider what happened to the followers of the Third Reich after 1945. That's why the Marshall Plan and rebuilding Germany & its economy were so primary to the United States. We repaired their buildings, roads, and infrastructure. We lent them money to jumpstart their businesses. Once Germans had money in their pockets and hunger wasn't an issue, being a Nazi wasn't that important.
My guess is that if programs like the New Deal could be re-instituted and the wealth re-distributed, there would be a similar change in this country.

(16,423 posts)The goal wasn't to make people happy so they'll stop being Nazis.
The De-Nazification was done haphazard because the Nazis had been almost everywhere in german society. Many Nazi-judges remained in the courts after WWII. And the german foreign-intelligence-service BND was founded by a former Nazi intelligence-officer whose job was to spy on the Soviets during the Third Reich and who continued with just that after WWII with the blessing of the US.
The goal of the Marshall-Plan was to rebuild the german economy to prevent the Germans from developing an anti-western, communist, revolutionary sentiment.
The choice was to either have an impoverished, disloyal Germany right on the doorstep of the Soviet Union or to have a strong, loyal Germany there.
I'm still wondering why Clinton never bothered to make it clear that the coal jobs will never come back and that she will fight for new investments and new industries that will bring in different jobs than coal jobs. Could have won her Virginia.

Remember when he said he could shoot someone and his supporters would still vote for him?
And, Republicans have made no mystery of the disastrous shut they would do if they could.
In case you haven't been paying attention the last 30 years, they are going to fuck shit up, and it will be our fault. And Donald Trump is 100 percent representative of who this country is at this time.
As long as he runs around like a petulant bully, thetc 60 miles who voted for him will be just fine with him.

My response :There's a sucker born everyday." If they believe anything a person that has proved themselves to lie over and over again - then you are a sucker.
