This is actual snap elections called by a US court for a state legislature, after judicial redistricting.
This is the first place we hit back, and we have to do it so hard they won't even know where that came from.
We need, right now, to have people in NC getting IDs for voters without them, because the legislature is going to have a swing at another voter suppression law in advance of this.

(9,874 posts)Moved to NC from NJ in June, going to join the county Dem org and suggest we have ID clinics and help in that regard. I think you are right about another try at an ID law and although we now have a Dem governor the legislature has a super-majority that can easily override his veto.

(56,582 posts)I agree, it's a long row to hoe. Please please please do join your county party org. and suggest the ID clinics. I know there's a charity in Orlando that helps get poor people IDs (called iDignity I think) that could perhaps help?
This election has to be sudden, brutal, and shockingly blue.
