I think Africa will have stable lives for most of its people before the middle east does.

Our support for the "moderate Sunni rebels" was probably the quid pro quo for Saudi pumping more.

The Middle East has been fighting and going to war for thousands of years over the same stuff as today. I doubt very much we can do anything about it. Peace in the ME? Probably not in my lifetime sadly
