http://www.politicususa.com/2016/11/30/jill-stein-recount-promise-filing-recount-michigan.htmlGreen Party candidate Jill Stein followed through on her promise by filing for a recount in Michigan Wednesday afternoon, citing a high number of blank votes as the reason.
I and the undersigned members of my slate of electors, individually and collectively, are aggrieved on account of fraud or mistake in the canvass of the votes by the inspectors of election, and/or the returns made by the inspectors, and/or by the Board of County Canvassers, and/or by the Board of State Canvassers, the petition reads. The filing can be read in full here.
Receipt of the request was acknowledged by Michigan Secretary of States office, according to The Detroit News, which also reported that Stein said the more than 75,000 blank votes in Michigans presidential results were a red flag that fueled her desire to seek a statewide hand recount of 4.8 million ballots.
The Detroit Free Press reported that the recount could begin as soon as Friday in the states largest 19 counties, followed by the smaller counties, with a goal of finishing the statewide recount by Dec. 10.

(6,598 posts)1. Recount is delayed because Trump's team will file an objection to it.
This has already been reported.

Supposedly. Unfortunately, we have Repukes in all the power positions here.

I continue to point about the absurdity of focusing so much time and effort on president when we don't put nearly the same amount of effort into winning or holding governorships and state legislatures.
Many voting rights issues can be resolved with Democrat governors and state legislatures.
If we don't regain a lot of these states by 2020 and the census, the subsequent gerrymandering will leave us out in the cold likely for the foreseeable future, if not permanently. That is not an opinion but a fact.
