In our fight we must make Republicans uncomfortable. And we must keep the landscape stirred up. And we must suppress them when they act out. Just playing defense if really not good enough in this battle. No one has ever won a fight just playing defense. We must have an offense and openly defy these pricks.
Cooperating in any way is out of the question. We must go after the O'Reilly's, Hannity's, Limbaughs et al on the internet and in the social media. We must counter attack trolls. And we must attack the media and media personalities on the net as well.
We must realize we are in an all out war moving forward. We must learn to hit back.

(6,454 posts)I know from family. There is to be NO discussion against Trump or even worse against Ronald Reagan. It is always this way, they can ridicule any Democrat but no one can say one word against a Republican. It just much, much worse with Trump.

(8,367 posts)A family I work with had a Trump sign in the yard. My emotions were raw, and I was unprofessional. I asked if they were worried about losing benefits and said I myself was worried about Social Security and Medicare. The conversation lasted about a minute.
They called the service coordinator and don't want me to come back. I talked about Trump "the entire session."
I should have left it at the door, but I'm grieving and sad. Good riddance to them.

(82,849 posts)If you're squeamish about looking too much like a Republican jerk, dial it back. My tack is to simply remind Trump voters what Trump said during the campaign, and point out how he's now running from his position like a scalded cat. Then ask the Trumpster: Did you vote for Trump because he said he'd (for example) rein in Wall Street? How does appointing some of the worst of the latter day robber barons to his administration square with his promise to rein them in?
We knew all along that Trump was popping off, making scads of promises during the campaign he couldn't possibly keep. Is reminding his voters about those broken promises really all that heinous?

(14,272 posts)When I was young I was repeatedly told that if I couldn't say something nice about someone that I should say nothing at all. The current atmosphere of the country is making me think that is a survival strategy.
