We had an almost 79% turnout here in Washington,

where we have an all-mail ballot (though there are still some secure boxes scattered around the state, for people who want to deposit their ballot directly.)

Oregon and CO also have mail-in. It's too bad it isn't like this everywhere. The only downside is it takes longer to tabulate our votes, because many of them are delivered to the elections facilities up to a few days after election day.

This is the turn-out most states would have if there wasn't so much voter suppression.

2. You had a similar turn-out in CA. There's no excuse for other states.

They could follow your state's example, or the all-mail-in states. We've shown that it can work.

I was bummed when it went to all mail in voting but I'm fine with it now and I've always seen the benefits.

I didn't know that it would be that high but not surprised. I'm pretty happy being a Washingtonian. Thanks for the info!

Which is pretty good - not our highest numbers, but pretty respectable.

I still can't imagine the states that make it hard to vote, how they even justify that and still have jobs. I think there's whole sections of the country (east of here) where people angrily shout how government can't do anything right, what a mess things are in, and they don't connect that to their own state governments that make it as hard as possible for them to vote for anything.

before the deadline...sorry. I think my county is a Trump county even though Washington is blue. I am a Lewis County person...sorry.
