Damn, Trump lies about everything.

I wonder if the Deplorables who voted for him would tolerate that level of mendacity in a spouse, a child, an employee, a friend. He said in his speech last night he did great among African Americans. He received 8% of the African American vote. That is the lowest amount for a Republican when his opponent was white in history. He said he did better with Hispanics than any Republican in recent history. John McCain (thirty one percent) and George Walker Bush (forty four percent) did better. He said he won in a landslide. He lost the popular vote by more than 2,500,000 votes and won the crucial states of MI, WI, and PA by less than one percent.

He lies about everything and the gullible Deplorables believe him.

Oh, spare me your outrage about calling his supporters Deplorables. Adolf Hitler's National Socialist party won a bare plurality in the 1933 German federal elections. That was their last free election in a while. The voters that gave him and his party a plurality were deplorable. The voters that gave Trump his Electoral College win are deplorable. They don't get a pass because they are American. In fact they are arguably worse. The Weimar Republic was a mess. They were a defeated people, inflation was rampant, and institutions were failing. That was not 2016 America.

it would be to vet every utterance from the Golden Pumpkin.

The problem is that while all politicians occasionally lie as a matter of course, Trump has no concept of truth. One must simply assume every utterance or tweet is a lie.

they won't care.

People have to personally experience the consequences of a decision before they realize the ramifications of a choice. Many of these deplorables STILL won't care. They'll take the economic and physical damage inflected by this group of fascists and gladly say, "Thank you very much pResident tRump!. I'll have another, if you please!"

Their fear of the "Other" and their bigotry, and their petty need to be "better than" another group will keep them willfully ignorant, exploited and willing to abandon common decency and intelligent choice. They will never change. I would like to believe that things will eventually get better when the last among them die off, but they likely have children and grandchildren, and so on. To say I am not hopeful would be an understatement of epic proportions.

that tried to early vote and was told she is not registered (despite voting in this town every year for over a decade). Luckily, I told her to stick with it and make sure she voted and gave her a few options to try. She was able to vote a few days later after showing more ID. But, how many people like her and her husband would have persisted? I'm guessing many would have given up in frustration.

Hundreds of voting places were eliminated in minority communities, ridiculous voter ID laws were enacted, ever since the 2013 SC decision to eliminate section 4 of the Voting Rights Bill. Minority, student and elderly voter suppression was rampant in many of the states held by Republican governors and state legislators. This will be even worse now that we have only 13 states with Democratic Governors.

Pick up a copy of The Rise & Fall of the Third Reich and read about what the Nazi party did to the working people of Germany during that period. One didn't have to be in a boxcar on the long ride to a concentration camp to feel the economic and social impact of their regime. There was hardship for the average working-class individual and virtually no actual freedom of speech or movement. The people were effectively muffled/silenced and working for the state, virtually little different from any of the most repressed and hostile Soviet-style systems throughout Eastern Europe and elsewhere. WWII was a boon for the German worker. Until it wasn't.

I'd start looking for some kind of jarring "event" that tRump plans to use to mobilize Americans with soon after his coronation. This will serve to solidify his power and preoccupy the people with a distraction while the McConnells and Ryans wreak their havoc on the average citizen. They'll take away the ACA, Medicare and Social Security and tell the American people that they MUST do it because the coffers are going to need every dime to fund the Neverending War on Terror, and many (if not most) will gladly be prepared to make that sacrifice because it will be couched in terms of something like "this is a war for our very survival", so something like it. These people - the plutocrats - will be very busy making sure that the average individual is relegated to permanent serfdom. That's the plan.

"Well, I think it's also an idea of an opinion. And that's—on one hand, I hear half the media saying that these are lies. But on the other half, there are many people that go, 'No, it's true.' And so one thing that has been interesting this entire campaign season to watch, is that people that say facts are facts—they're not really facts. Everybody has a way—it's kind of like looking at ratings, or looking at a glass of half-full water. Everybody has a way of interpreting them to be the truth, or not truth. There's no such thing, unfortunately, anymore as facts.

"And so Mr. Trump's tweet, amongst a certain crowd—a large part of the population—are truth. When he says that millions of people illegally voted, he has some—amongst him and his supporters, and people believe they have facts to back that up. Those that do not like Mr. Trump, they say that those are lies and that there are no facts to back it up."

and watched the potusfuhrer-in-waiting and listened to the deplorable idiots that voted for him, "lock her up", "build the wall", "it was so theatrical", "it was great&quot his non substance speech and thank you), "he needs to make america great again" and other naive stupidity and willful ignorance and in some cases just outright racist. I could just look at some and tell who and what they were and why they voted for the POS potusfuhrer-in-waiting. And the crowd size was not large in any respect. So no black faces this time which was encouraging and telling..

These here who are now defending and trying to normalize these deplorable cretins as just poor white people in pain because the latino immigrants took their jobs, that they wouldn't do anyway, the AA well our color speaks on why we are ALL thugs, criminals, even the first lady has been referred to twice now in the last two weeks as fucking monkey by white people. Melania does not have the intelligence that could fit in her baby finger compared to the intellectual capacity of Michelle Obama. This strong, beautiful, independent woman makes the scarecrow ex-porn star trophy wife of the potusfuhrer-in-waiting look like just vwhatcshe is, eye candy for the trumpfuhrer and NOTHING else. No degree, no career(porn-soft core porno photos). These people are deplorable, disgusting and filthy human beings who belong back in to the caves from whence they sprang. What a sad deplorable fucking day when the king and queen of the ameriKKKan Deplorable(the brownshirt cadre, by the way) came on the scene.

I agree with your every word. AmeriKKKans are going to try to make potusfuhrer-in-waiting "presidential" another word a deplorable used at his 'thank you'. Impossible for a buffoonish clown and his deplorable family. They will be an embarrassment on the USA and and add another large stain onto the history of an already besmirched country with genocide, slavery, KKK who are back big time by the way and are defenders of this POS potus-in-waiting who will not disavow his future brownshirt stormtroopers. The fantasies of these people who have pined away looking for the return of the savior of white male supremacy which will try to dominate all in this nation not ready to bow down to the trumpfuhrer-in-waiting, steve bannon, alec jones both of whom are in the white house now or with personal access/friendship to the potusfuhrer-in-waiting, will try to make first PoC, then the rest of the people, BOW to the new white supremacy/nationalist savior/god(s).

No, all I see is trouble for ALL minorities in the next four years with more, lots more racist murder and death at the hands of state authorized deplorables carrying badge and gun, and a whole legion of zimmermans cropping up to save white ameriKKKan 'purity' from the brown hordes of Arizona tea carrying thugs and the Skittle eating criminal". They first will start with PoC. White people here and there will offer a tsk, tsk tsk and keep moving and fading into and out the howling mobs, at their convenience and safety, until their privilege and rights are curtailed by the trumpfuhrer and then and only then will the majority wake up and smell the shit they walked through while holding their nose and only then. Not genocide of PoC, wall building or "vetting" will stir many to action, only the curtailment of their privilege and rights..

Many PoC I know smelled the shit emanating from the RW as far back as nixon-atwater. To the "productives" out there who are trying to lull people into thinking "normalization" of the next 4 years, there IS big trouble on your naive horizons. So gird your loin minorities, bumpy ride won't begin to describe what's coming... The rest of the willfully unaware? Let them be. Their "shock and awe" is on the way into the WH.

Serial, pathological, liar.

I recognized the signs of it in Donny-Boy right away. It's very, very hard to deal with. I didn't even catch on to my ex's lies until we'd been married 8 or so years. He was that good at it! Donny-Boy is believable because of a few things at once...

1. He knows almost nothing about most things and he knows how little he knows, however ...

2. He can't abide to be shown up in any way and so it's very important to him that he comes across as knowledgeable.

3. Since he must appear to be the best and smartest person in the room, he has learned to convince himself in the moment that whatever comes out of his mouth is absolute truth and he will never willingly admit that he doesn't know something or is wrong about something.

Many of these liars will just remain quiet most of the time to avoid appearing stupid (this was my ex's M.O.). Donny's not built to be quiet though. Expect him to lie every time he opens his ugly disgusting mouth. (I swear I don't know how Melania manages to allow him to kiss her - EVER!)
