Regarding the Carrier "deal"

I distinctly remember the Republican mantra throughout Obama's term in office:

"The government should not be in the business of picking winners and losers"

So that's another thing out the window I guess?

In the back of my mind it figure somehow this will lead up to personally enriching the trump crime family. Like say in order to bring the trump lines that are currently being made outside the country to the USA, he gets gop governors to give massive incentives to American companies that are willing to make his products. And since he's willing to pick & choose, not offer the same deal to competitors.
