I can muster up plenty of anger for Mnuchin.

She voted for a racist, a nativist, an anti-semite, a misogynist and , and a xenophobe because she thought there was something in it for herself. She was willing to throw others under the bus to improve her station in life.

I also don't have sympathy for people who voted for Hitler. Why should I give people who voted for Trump a pass? Because they are American?

If they go to cut off a tree limb and you warn them that it'll land on their car, and they go ahead and do it anyway, you might feel some sympathy. But when they cut the next limb and it crashes through their living room window, not so much.

We've been warning them about those Republican tree limbs for 40 yrs.

People who voted for Trump because they think he will make the economy "better," whatever that means, are basically the people who voted for Hitler because he would make the trains run on time.

when Obama appointed Summers and Geithner. I know how it feels. At that point, a lot of us knew the change we'd hoped for was illusory and now all the fools who voted for Trump thinking he'd change things are realizing they got conned.

Obama had a whole lot more to offer and he delivered much of it. Trump has nothing else to offer and he's probably going to deliver on that, too.

This is in no way a slam of Obama, who remains a remarkably good president. It's only to say that government by Goldman Sachs is here to stay for another four years, no matter what we the people might have to say about it, especially the fools who believed a rich man like Trump was going to derail his own gravy train.

It hurts.

There is a difference in being happy about someone getting screwed over and simply not caring, basically, she got what she paid for. She paid an ice cream man to perform her surgery because, he was like a doctor...he wears a white coat. I am not going to "feel bad" for someone who purposely ignored all the signs because...for what ever fucking reason she chose. This isn't even a case of being "bamboozled" the psychopath-elect was very clear.

I live in a red state-Missouri. I know a lot of these people. I know a lot of them are uneducated. I know they believe all the conspiracy theories.

But Trump was just so obviously a very twisted man. And it was so obvious what he was really like. And they voted for him anyway.

I don't feel sorry for them.

But I do feel sorry for the other millions of us that are caught up in this mess.

The Democrats are going to have to clean up another horrible mess just like we always have to after a Republican president.

I am in a red state, Oklahoma. I have the same encounters with people who are not evil, some aren't even racists, but they were so easily duped by an obvious snake-oil salesman. I don't know what it was like in your area, but in my county, VERY red, I saw almost no signs supporting him! It wasn't like any previous election...ever. They knew.

I also agree, it will be up to the democrats to clean up the mess, just like after Bush Sr. and "w". The only problem I am still seeing is the democrats are still refusing to see their culpability in this disaster. The arrogance and denial coming from our direction is palatable. "Business as usual" is not going to work. The polarization of the country has made the process that much more difficult.

The "new normal" is about to become much more frightening for many people.

We lived through Nixon and Cheney. Cheney was really evil and did a lot of damage.

Trump is already really screwing up. I really believe the powers that be in Congress will get control of him. He is no match for McConnell and some of those other power brokers.

But I am worried about the effect of this bunch on women's rights and the safety net.

I just keep cheering for Schumer and Warren and Bernie and the other democratic firebrands. I will do whatever I can to help back them. And I think Hillary will be back fighting once she gets her shit back together.

Besides her voting choice, general ignorance seems to be a running theme in her life. She got in the situation originally due to payments on a reverse mortgage. Clearly she's susceptible to making poor choices that contradict her own best interests based on something "sounding good". Her situation is a form of Natural Selection.

I won't waste my energy feeling sorry. People like this aren't who I want on my side. The best they represent is basic quantity...there will never be any quality with them. In this fight, we need quality and to then build our quantity. We need to expend our energy on soon-to-be or newly minted voter age groups. We need to engage the ones who didn't come out to vote. We need to focus on the ones who are teachable.

Screw house-losing grammy. She's a lost cause.
