I WILL call Trump voters racists.

I have read not to call them this or use other terms because they become defensive. However, I have found that a lot of my former friends and disowned relatives don't listen. No matter what I point out, they don't care or they rationalize it. However, if I call them racists many of them take great offense.
They listen.

I don't use the term because I don't mean it. I do. I use it to point out the vile people they are uniting with and the fact that they cannot get rid of this stain no matter what they say. They opened Pandora's Box all the way and out flew indelible ink with every evil.

I also point out that NOT ONE of them ever said a word about those vile people. They whine now but only after they are linked with them. I also tell the 'Christian' ones that they are really Leviticans who use Jesus as a hype man. In addition, if Egypt had had a wall, Jesus, Mary and Joseph would have been SOL with Herod after them.

Finally, I quote a revised version of a verse in the Bible that Jesus used when chasing the big money out of the temples; "Bite me!"

I think you do, too.

Most of them are racists. Most of them are misogynists - including the women.

I guess it's fun for people in D.C. or NYC or California to speculate about those "hard-working, blue-collar types" that they love to adulate and mythologize.

But we have to live with them.

And the truth is ... they're assholes!

Well ... most of them anyway.

Assholes for the most part.

Also, so blinded by what their church leaders tell them to believe that they have not had a thought beyond that since childhood.

That sounds hysterical but unfortunately it is a statement of fact. We can pretend not to see and be "polite" - which will enable a lot of bad things to happen - or we can calmly and firmly call it out.

attacked is racism. Shameful to do nothing. To be uninformed and vote for a racist is a form of racism.

characterized accurately based on their action.

They voted for a person who very publicly proclaimed his racism and sexism. They voted to make an avowed racist and sexist the leader of the free world. They chose to put him in power and then acted to do so. They knowingly and deliberately advanced the causes of racism and sexism.

This is not "painting with a broad brush" that might mistakenly include people who are not fairly included in the characterization.

This is describing THEIR action. Their decision. They actively and knowingly chose to increase racism and sexism. By definition that makes them racist and sexist.

I am calling them out for ignoring the FACT that their candidate is openly and hardily backed by white supremacists, mysoginists, anti-semites and other vile creatures. If they join THAT group, I will name them.
It is incredibly damaging to support these people in any way. Ii opens the door to hate in many directions. They ignore the fact that they exist. Trump has expressed excluion and hatred.
If I support candidates with sketchy supporters that they they don't thoroughly disavow, I better be ready to defend my position. I also better look at why they support that candidate.
One of my lines in the concrete is ZERO support for racists. No other positions they take along with that will convince me to join them.

decades, even. Many of the names we've been called have been offensive and disgusting, and yet the Tangerine Terrorist has the gall to call us disgusting.

Fuck it. I get tired of taking the "high road" if it is costing us elections. They want an end to "political correctness" while being offensive out of hand. Fuck them. Calling them racists is more accurate than not.

I'll be polite when it's called for, but I'm calling out Rule 42: "Never accept an apology from someone who just sucker punched you." I won't be nice to avowed assholes.

Some people may not understand that the "team" they joined because all their friends and relatives are on that "team" and they don't want to be left out in the cold with the "losers"--is a "team" rooted in racism and unbridled exploitation. At one time they were called "Southern Democrats" but now they're called "Republicans."

Then, yes, I would call them vessels of racism. Passive racism, but as Pastor Niemoller pointed out, the result is the same whether they're wearing hoods and burning crosses or just standing quietly by.
