Seniors and Activists Will Deliver Over One Million Petition Signatures to Ryan and McConnell
[font size="4"]Washington, DC- Next Wednesday, December 7th at 11:00am ET Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT), and Representative Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) will join seniors and activists who will deliver more than one million petition signatures demanding that President Elect Donald Trump, House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI), and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) keep their hands off the American peoples earned Medicare benefits.[/font]
Nobody voted to destroy Medicare. In fact, Trump ran on a pledge not to touch it. But Speaker Ryan has already announced plans to abolish the program through privatization. Trump has nominated Rep. Tom Price (R-GA), one of Ryans closest allies and an ardent foe of Medicare, to be his Health and Human Services Secretary.

(23,307 posts)where is the democratic leadership in protecting the ACA for 20+ million of us? The ACA isn't perfect, but it is the first real insurance I've ever had in my 52 years. Not to mention as small business owners, it has enabled us to get coverage for all of our employees. I haven't heard any of the dems in congress even talking about the ACA. Did I miss something?
