(17,564 posts)The oil companies first contracted for DAPL back in 2014 with a cancellation clause if not completed by 1/1/17.
Price and supply has improved so much since then that it's probably not worth their while to sign up again.
Gotta love that invisible hand of the marketplace.

the companies building it had all the permits in place. the could easily sue the government to force the corp of engineers to permit building the remaining pipline and would have a very strong case. and even if teh course refused to ok building it the corps of engineers will reverse their decision the day trump takes over since its obviously a political decision.
