So....Fox News' Bret Baier. We're all going to just forget about that?

The weekend before the election, he comes out with "breaking news" that his "sources" in the FBI said that indictments surrounding the Clinton Foundation were imminent and coming. (For what exactly, I'm not sure.)

Anyways, he beat the story around for a while, it got repeated ad naseum in social media, and then he's forced to admit that the story is unsubstantiated.

But of course it's just a couple days before the election and the fake story was already out there.

Other than a half-hearted apology from Baier, there was nothing further. No discipline, no outcry for him to be suspended or fired...nothing.

Dan Rather, one of the most respected journalists in television history, lost his job for reporting on a true story with unsupported documents. Brian Williams was banished to the depths of late night MSNBC for a tall tale.

Bret Baier's fake news story had the potential to influence millions of voters on the heels of an election, and no one will ever remember what he did.

Democrats and MSNBC are one, and liberals are relegated to the fringes, pay sites, contribution sites, that are barely scraping by, publications like Truthdig, Truthout, Alternet, Counterpunch, Jacobin...all constantly begging for money.

But the rich put up their spectrum of what is acceptable, the ridiculously right-wing, and the "acceptable" left. And issues on which they do not want people informed, are simply ignored from both sides. Issues on which many might feel unjust, but settled and wanted by corporations, are uniformly agreed to, and supported by both sides.

We should all know what we're listening to on television and radio--the range of media, far out on the edge of the right-wing of thought, the media wants us to hear about, and nothing they don't. It's all filtered out.

Google News and other outlets picked that story up, and it ran for two full days before he came out and said he was mistaken.

Then our wonderful libural Rachel Maddow, came out and gushed all over Bret Baier for saying it was a very courageous thing for him to admit a mistake, because we all make mistakes, and that shows what a "good journalist he is". Of course that didn't stop fox news or others from continuing to repeat the LIE that "an indictment was pending on the Clinton Foundation"

Good ole libural MSNBC. You know MSNBC, that was the network that was the first to report that when comey sent the letter to the republicans in congress, they setup up a "Breaking News Event that the FBI reopened the email investigation". THAT WAS A LIE. They then paraded every right wing politician across their screen to reiterate that LIE. Slightly over an hour later the other sorry excuses we have for a television media in this country started to repeat that lie, with the same circus atmosphere that MSNBC started.

F**K THEM ALL. CNN, MSNBC, and of course fox

Everyone knows that 'Fake News' is way more entertaining then, what journalist used to call 'NEWS'. The sad part about this election is that the real news about Donald, no matter how disturbing could not eclipse the fake news about Clinton. Why? His foundation was really being investigated and what did we hear? Crickets, except for maybe the Washington Post. Maybe the democratic party needs to start generating stories about Donald's male lover and Melania's escort service. You think the Evangelicals would take notice? Not likely. But wait, someone said they thought they saw Malia drinking a beer at a party. BREAKING NEWS.

Don't forget that "Pizza-gate" idiot, taking his assault rifle into some pizza joint to "investigate" some stupid-ass completely made-up shit about Hillary and John Podesta somehow running some kiddie-sex-slave ring - out of a pizza parlor in Washington DC.

He saw it on the internet and fell for it hook, line, and sinker. And shit-for-brains like him get to vote... (which is even more nauseating)!

I have been seeing this since the 90s, only it has gotten worse and more blatent with each passing day - and Trump moved the ball from the red zone to the 1 yard line.

The fact is, this country full accepts it.

When was the last time you heard a non-democrat say, "gee, the media coverage is absurdly slanted." 90% of non democrats will say there is "liberal bias."

We are fucked ...

Dec 2016

"If you yell 'BARRACUDA', everyone says 'Huh? What?' If you yell 'SHARK'..."

Brent Baier is just another face on an (alleged) new program.

Dan Rather has been the right wing's poster boy for "liberal media bias" since the 60s. They've cultivated hatred for him (think of it as the prototype for how their carefully nurtured loathing for the Clintons and Obama).

Back in the 80s an idea was floated by a crony of Jesse Helms for conservatives to crowdsource buying CBS. The pitch line: "How''d you like to be Dan Rather's boss?"

Switch to 2004: Rather is semi-retired, no longer the flagship name. CBS ownership had changed hands (through more conventional corporate buyout, and would change hands again soon. Bush was occupying the White House. Throwing Rather overboard in a sop to the Right was small beans.
