There isn't much that can't be done to an airliner. Converting his 757 into a presidential plane would take a few months but it can be done. All the customized work on his plane was put in post-production. More can be added.

AF1 hull is specially designed to survive a nuclear blast from the air. The wings have built in defense technology that can scramble missile guidance systems and other built in defense measures. It has 2 doors, each equipped with its own set of retractable stairs. To convert trump's plane into an AF1 the entire hull and wings will have to be replaced.

But hey, if trump wants to travel overseas in his own plane, who am I to stop him? Can we make it a law that Flynn, Ryan, turtle face and Cruz fly with him at all times?

I've done that. All you have to do is stabilize behind the tanker and the boom operator does all the work.

I did 'probe and drogue'.
I had to physically plug a (very phallic looking ) 6' 'probe' into a drogue basket and make it lock on before I could get fuel.

It could be quite a challenge, especially at night in thunderstorms.
But, hey.
I'm still here.

When the President travels outside of North America using a VC-25A as Air Force One, an E-4B will deploy to a second airport in the vicinity of the President's destination, to be readily available in the event of a world crisis or an emergency that renders the VC-25A unusable.[citation needed] When the President visits Honolulu, Hawaii, an E-4B has often been stationed 200 miles away at Hilo International Airport on Hawaii Island.[26][27]
