One of the most interesting is that the chair looks like a copy of one owned by the infamous Duke of Windsor, a Fascist sympathizer who abdicated the English throne "for the woman he loved" and giving the crown to a much abler king.

I wonder if anyone has written an alternative history where the Duke is king and sympathizing with Germany?

What sort of a weak, insecure man orders custom made, gilded and gold upholstered chairs with an gigantic fleur-de-lis, the symbol of French royalty, embroidered on the back to remind visitors of his status?

Look closely, everyone in the photo must have been ordered to put on paper shoe covers so they wouldn't smudge Donald's expensive marble floors.

Added:

Note that in several places the gold cord trim used on the chair is coming loose and sagging. Cheap! He probably paid a small fortune for that chair, but it gives me some vicarious glee to know that some little upholstery shop conned Don the Con!

I thought I was half joking but I looked it up:
http://time.com/3614128/person-of-the-year-covers/

First person since Hitler to be seated in a chair and there are only two other chair sitters besides Trump & Hitler and neither is "posing". The other two are depicted as in the middle of work.
