BOCA RATON, Fla. - They call it the most wonderful time of the year, and for many it is also the most religious.
In Boca Raton people who gathered Wednesday night to admire the nativity scene in Sanborn Square also saw a large pentagram weighing several hundred pounds.
The man responsible for the pentagram said he works for the national Freedom From Religion Foundation and said in a statement: "All hail Satan. Love trumps hate. The first amendment must be protected, including the freedom to offend."
The pentagram's presence caused a clash of public opinion.
"I think it's ridiculous," Jerry Yeager said. "This is Boca Raton and we put up with something like this?"
Annie Farr, a Boca Raton resident, doesnt support the sign.

(35,062 posts)It doesn't say what organization did this, who signed it, etc.
The media loves this kind of stuff, trying to set up a moral panic, make it sound like there is collective community outrage.
My guess: 1 guy put that letter up.

(13,461 posts)Put the nativity scenes in front of every church in town and exclude anyone else. Leave public places alone, and they won't have to look at other religious displays.

(14,449 posts)There would be more then enough for residents to see it. I'm not sure why this is a fight. Heck many times a church isn't far from a courthouse or public square.
