Former Boeing and Ford chief Alan Mulally to meet with Trump

Former Ford chief Alan Mulally, 71, is meeting with President-elect Donald Trump at Trump Tower Thursday, according to an automotive news report. The former Boeing CEO is reportedly being considered to serve as scretary of state.

It is unclear whether Mulally is meeting with Trump regarding a possible cabinet post or just as a policy adviser, as he did with President Barack Obama on several occasions.

In the Automotive News report, Trump spokesman Jason Miller declines to describe the nature of the meeting but says, “Mr. Mulally is certainly someone who knows a lot about trade issues and the economy and what we need to do to get our manufacturing sector going again.”

Mulally has a home in the Seattle area and still has deep roots here. He started out at Boeing (NYSE: BA) in 1969 designing jets and then working his way through the ranks to become president and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes.

Honestly I think Drumpf is just dangling the Secretary of State job as a carrot to see how high he can get people to jump.

Trump has created so much anger in the Manufacturing Industry, and he needs to find some way to gain some bit of trust back. Mulally takes zero bull crap, remember he was a line draftsman when he started with Boeing and a Union Member, going to be a interesting meeting.
