There is no common ground with Trumpers and the rest of us. The Cabinet picks are a signal that the GOP wants to dismantle all the progress made since the end of the Civil War itself. They are even against women voting when you fully examine their rhetoric.

Trump voters voted for racism, bigotry, misogyny, white supremacy and theocracy. They rejected virtually all the values this country supposedly stood for since its beginning. We are at a fork in the road where we now have sectarian camps that want totally and irreconcilable outcomes for the nation.

Liberals and progressives want an economically fair and just society. The conservatives and Trumpers want a segregated, discriminatory, religious based unequal society ruled by tyranny and fascism. There really is no common ground to agree on. Progressives and liberal accept a diverse society while the Trumpers demand white hegemony.

We are now more like the sectarianism that plague the Irish Catholics and Protestants.
