Rachel Maddow now, How come only 48 percent of Jill Stein Voters want Trump to Release his Taxes ?

Rachel Maddow is talking about Trump and showed a poll where most americans want Trump to release his taxes. but of Trump's own supporters like 90 perccent did not want him to release it.

what i found interesting was that less than half of Stein Supporters wanted him to release it. Johnson's was a bit higher at 52 percent. with Clinton supporters being the higest at over 70 percent.

Rachel's focus was completely on the Trump supporters but the Stein thing stood out to me.

but i'm actually not surprised as i had a negative view of the green party and people who vote for it for a long time.

Yes, I think candidates should disclose their financial ties, but there is no absolute requirement they do so. And that's fine. Those who voted for Trump would not be disuaded by seeing his tax filings. Of course, I should feel differently, since I had to disclose my financial data for my security clearance in my low level, low pay federal job. But only a few people saw my numbers. If the people are too stupid to figure out what it means when he hides the information from them, they are too stupid to draw correct conclusions from the information.

If they're ok with that, I can see them being similarly ok with Trump not releasing his. If anything, the number should probably be lower, if that's the rationale.

There is a tradeoff. Tax returns provide leads and information, but not disclosing them has led to all kinds of damaging speculation for Trump.

Who knows for sure which one is better politically? The main reason Democrats are about twenty percentage points higher is because they know that is the party position. But for that, the Democrats and Greens would probably both be about evenly split, hard to say which way is worse for Trump. Reasonable people can disagree, as to 30% of Dems
