Democrats need to learn how to better "rebrand" issues. Take the "death tax"...

We shouldn't be pushing to call it an "estate tax," even if that's what it is. Call it a hoard tax, which labels it more accurately.

Fossil fuel companies don't "contribute to climate change. They produce toxic air conditions.

Let's stop beating around the bush with "income inequality" and take it back to what it was originally called: endless greed.

It sucks to have to dumb down ideas, but without that, we'll never make progress with people who see education as an enemy.

Like when Global Warming became Climate Change and I understand the reasons behind it but look how soft it became. "Oh the climate is changing, that doesn't sound too bad." I've heard people say that shit.

Forget the fake word branding nonsense for a second,
any good communicator connects with his/her audience
by communicating "here's what's in it for you"
"here's what I'm gonna do for you" "here's what you get out of it"
"this is how I'll make your life better"
Trump did this very well (though lying through his teeth)
convincing folks he'd bring them jobs, money, and security.
He promised to make America Great Again.
In other words... "I will make YOU great."
That's transformative.
The Democratic message lately is Kumbaya.
Together we can. Stronger together.
All nice good noble stuff but it doesn't put chicken dinners on the table.
I believe our party needs to do some soul searching... and yes,
good REAL brand planning to exactly define WHAT it is they have to offer you and me.
Not the world. Just you and me. That will lead them to the better WHY
that everyone faces in the ballot box.

We want to make YOU rich by investing in you and your role in future technologies... they believe in sending you back to the coal mines for sub-minimum wage.
We want to give YOU health care... they want you to buy the most expensive health care.
We want YOU to walk down the street without getting shot... they want an armed society of rootin tootin neo nazis.
We believe in caring for YOU when you're old... they believe in letting you fend for yourself without a lifeline

etc...

Take "political correctness" for example and how deep it is, I've even seen the concept be attacked here on DU.

The problem is it's become nothing but a strawman for the right and even people here keep setting it back up to be knocked down again.

I think we literally need a Snopes or Urban Dictionary like site for their framings.
