18 U.S. Code 2381 - Treason

Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.

I don't think Obama would approve.

Something is terribly wrong, they're hung up on the constitution when obviously it is not protecting us from dire results.

We need a very, very smart legal mind to save us.

the United States would have to officially declare Russia to be its enemy, and I don't think we are ready to do that. It would have to be a different approach.

I have to assume what a witness to an overt act is has changed over time. The founding fathers could not imagine telephone calls, email, or computers. If, for example, two witnesses testified that they found emails from Trump to Putin and Putin to Trump conspiring to leak DNC emails to influence the election I think that would meet muster. I could be wrong. These bastards would squeal on each other like pigs if push came to shove.
