3. Congress, not POTUS, has the power to say yea or nay on closing Gitmo. Guess which they've said?

It serves the GOP to keep it open because booga-booga our Super-Max prisons can't possibly hold the bad guys, and they are obviously all bad guys without even a trial to prove it.

What President Obama has done is gradually, steadily, move the prisoners out to other countries. Some are released from there; some stay in prison there. If he could close it completely, he would.

Ask who does it serve to keep Gitmo in place? certainly not President Obama.
