1. Herr Drumpf got 46% of the vote. He pulled an inside straight in the E C to win the presidency.

He also needed the help of the Russia, the FBI, and the press.

We don't need a lot of extra support to win next time.

6. Yeah democrats need to stop thinking that the party is in trouble because we lost

The republican party is over. It used to be a party consisting of the mega-rich and whatever rubes they could trick into voting against their best interests with enough money.

With Trump, the hypocrisy has been exposed, we can see that they don't agree with republican principles whatsoever. They're just voting because democrats are the opposing sports team. They stand for nothing except whatever shit spewing from Trump's mouth that they can rationalize. As soon as he's gone it'll be the final nail in the party's casket. Trump has attacked any and all establishment republicans and the only "fresh blood" that they have are neo-nazis.

7. I don't think we should whitewash the loss but we need to put it in perspective.

Hillary won the pop vote by 3,000,000. That is a lot. I am a bit concerned that the deeply anti-democratic Electoral College can bite us in the ass again.

The sports team metaphor is apt. It's about the name on the front of the jerseys. Trump has rejected so much Republican dogma but they support him because he is wearing their jersey.

In September 2009, Wilson received international attention when he interrupted a speech by U.S. President Barack Obama to the joint session of Congress by shouting "You lie!"[4][5] The incident resulted in a formal rebuke by the House of Representatives.[6]
