Republicans exploited hacks targeted at Democrats, now they're in control of the investigation

...we need a special committee which is truly bipartisan to investigate the Russian hacks into the election.

McConnell and his republican partners will be able to control the scope and outcome of any investigation. The conflict of interest is blaring. Their party was the direct beneficiary of the Russian hacks in which emails related to Hillary Clinton were published exclusively by Wikileaks.

McConnell, who rejected calls for a special committee today, has been trying to cover-up info on Russian hacks from the time he and other Senators were briefed.
