She met with the President-elect on Monday.
Donald Trump is considering Carly Fiorina, the former chief executive of Hewlett-Packard and Republican presidential candidate, for director of national intelligence, the New York Times reported.
Fiorina met with the president-elect at Trump Tower on Monday to discuss the role, an unnamed transition official told the Times.
We talked about hacking, whether its Chinese hacking or purported Russian hacking, Fiorina said. We talked about the opportunity that the president-elect has to literally reset things, to reset the trajectory of this economy, to reset the role of government, to reset Americas role in the world and how were perceived in the world. And I think its why hes getting such fantastic people in his administration.
The director of national intelligence leads the U.S. Intelligence community and advises the president on intelligence matters.

(3,427 posts)Seems like a prerequisite for a position in the Trump Cabinet is to either be openly hostile to the department you'll be heading or have no experience in whatever it does.
