I read the tea leaves, and they seemed to be saying that Trump's number one job under Putin was going to be to stop China from developing the oil reserves in the South China Sea--and China was not supposed to know Putin was behind it. Now, why would Putin want to stop the exploration of the South China Sea so badly that he would hack on election? Because Russia is dependent upon China's tremendous thirst for Russian crude. If China no longer buys Russian oil, then Russia goes down the toilet--and Putin's career as Czar for Life is over.
Note that China achieving energy independence does not hurt the U.S. one bit. They are our economic partner. As they become more prosperous, we become more prosperous. We are mutually dependent. Putin wants to come between us in order to make one European country--and its dictator--richer. Both the U.S. and China will suffer. And we both work too hard to have some asshat like Putin take it all away from us. If he wants his own prosperity, let him work for it.
Here are my two Kos Posts. They're pretty long, which is why I wrote the summary above. I have lots of references and tables with statistics in the links if you need to be convinced.

The warning comes hours after reports emerged indicating China flew a nuclear-capable bomber over a disputed part of the South China Sea, in a move U.S. officials say was meant to send a message to Trump. The Xian H-6 bomber, at times accompanied by fighter jets, flew along the demarcation line between China and disputed territories, including Taiwan,

(1,278 posts)that Donald J Trump is so beholden to him that he will do whatever is in Vlad Putin's best interest, which is clearly not in the US best interest, does this apply to potential presidents Mike Pence {VP}, Paul Ryan {HSpkr}, or any other Republican? Any or all of them are susceptible to blackmail via the CIA and other defense agencies based on the reporting so far.
Since President Obama has to go no later than Jan 20, 2017 and there is no constitutional provision for Vice President Biden to stick around, the two people who would not be Putin's puppet for any reason; can't directly save us; what is the best course of action? #inquiringminds
