This is playing out like a James Bond novel - with an evil egomaniac - setting out to unleash evil on the country and perhaps the world. And bottom line we are helpless. We can all see it happening and there is absolutely nothing we can do about it.

Are there no sane and brave people left - on both sides of the aisle - that can do something to stop this madness?

10. Democracy is NOT gone, though. We elected Trump and will

constitutionally and peacefully pass the executive functions into his hands.

A majority of the German electorate sorta voted to replace democracy with a lifetime dictatorship, but we're nowhere near that. Kind of important to know, after all. Who fights to keep what is gone?

I'm actually becoming somewhat more concerned that the hard-liners on the right might provoke a disabling attack on our nation, or part of it. Perhaps a partial grid take-down, or...? These are exactly the kind of people who destroy themselves and others in war.

We will have a vastly incompetent leader who'll invite Putin, Kim Jong-un, Xi Jing-Ping, and many others to aggress against American power under him, so on top of everything else Trump is likely to be challenged with insults to his personal king-of-the-world image.

Experts are expecting the North Korea nuclear crisis to hit, and it's now believed that Trump's stunt with Taiwan means China will leave us on our own there, at least. A really, really bad mistake, and he's not even in office yet.
