The New York Daily News reports Wang, 19, had with him in a backpack a hunting knife, an M-100 firework, a Swiss Army knife, a flashlight, a clear water gun, handcuffs, an 8-foot black rope, a garrote and a laptop.

Wang reportedly told police he likes to study in the building and that he had brought such items there on multiple occasions before. He also said he's a survivalist who likes martial arts and setting off fireworks along the East River, according to the Daily News.
