He is disrespecting every boundary because that’s what a person with narcissistic personality disorder does.

Trump crossed countless boundaries of decency during the election, and continues that pattern with his cabinet. Choosing people who have disdain for the agencies they would lead is no mistake – Trump has nothing but disdain for the people who elected him, the very people those agencies are meant to protect. Parading people before him – Romney, Gore, even a very vulnerable Kanye – is all about fucking with people for his own sick amusement.

In order to save what’s left of our country, it’s critical for all of us (voters, electors, reporters, and elected officials) to study narcissistic personality disorder. We have to understand and accept that Trump and those suffering from this disorder in fact do live in an alternate reality, one in which there are no consequences for actions and others only exist to serve.

Find a source you trust and read, read, read. Learning how they think will blow your mind – but knowledge is the only way to combat someone with this disorder, especially someone with great power.

I'll add that I think intertwined with his flaming narcissism is a deep sadistic streak.

He is one cold-hearted, mean SOB. He is choosing the worst poosible people for the cabinet positions as one more way to say, "Fuck you, losers," to all the American people - those who voted for him, as well as those who didn't. He doesn't give a rat's ass about anyone but himself, and maybe his children.
