Then it turned out that all of them were wingnuts and that the main activity for the group was to trade wingnut chain letters attacking KERRY. For awhile I did some slamming back, but I detest arguing especially when it's clear the other side is just spouting parrot-points and personal attacks on "bleeding heart Liberals". So I departed with a final blast, and actually I haven't missed a thing.

We grew up together. Been friends more than 50 years. He's got a drinking problem and I knew he could be an argumentative jerk at times, but nothing prepared me for the vile racist, misogynistic, homophobic attacks. He never supported Trump but I could tell that he didn't care if Trump got elected and burned down the country.

There is a deep rage in some people and Trump tapped into it. Suddenly even so-called progressives are blaming minorities for all their problems.
