Yes, There's Already a Poll Out on the 2020 Election

by Josh Feldman | 6:14 pm, December 13th, 2016

Wanna talk about 2020 yet? Of course you don’t. We just finished an election. But there’s already a poll out there about 2020!

Public Policy Polling’s new poll takes a look at who Democrats want for their nominee in four years. (And before you ask, no, Hillary Clinton is not on the list.)

Joe Biden, who has not completely closed the door, is the choice of 31 percent of Democrats, compared to 24 percent for Bernie Sanders. Elizabeth Warren gets 16 percent, while Cory Booker, Al Franken, Andrew Cuomo, and others are in single-digits.

But what’s most interesting about Biden and Sanders topping the list is this other kind of important metric:

57% of Democrats say they want their candidate to be under the age of 60, and 77% say they want their candidate to be under the age of 70. Only 8% actually want a candidate who’s in their 70s, with another 15% expressing no opinion in regards to the age of their candidate.

Beyond wanting a younger candidate, only 25% of Democrats say they want their candidate in 2020 to be someone who has run for President before. 41% would prefer someone who’s never run before, and 34% say they’re not sure one way or the other.

"It was rigged"

This is our last free election and democrats need to stop their infighting bullshit. We don't need to appeal to Trump's base. All we need is to fight voter restriction laws and not have old white bureaucrats as our candidates. Our vote can overpower their fake-ass "economic distress" which we all know is a sophistry cocktail of racism and propaganda.

But again, it's our last free election so

The playbook for winning the presidency is bread and circus for the masses. I can't think of an entertainer better to go up against POTUS-e than Colbert.

will both run for president.

I am hoping that Elizabeth Warren will win the nomination and then go on to win the presidency.
