And "we the people" will foot the bill for increased security on every property he owns.

if you're not part of the .01% or for someone who has a "D" after their name. But lawmakers with an "R" after their name?

It's pirate season kids! Take what you want, plunder and destroy, someone else will get the blame and who cares about the peons who die?

Then Pence appoints Ryan as VP.
Then Pence gets lured away by some cushy job and resigns. Or someone Frank Underwoods him.
Ryan is Prez.
The granny killing can commence.

Several experts on ethics rules and government contracting have argued that the provision limiting involvement of public officials in the lease effectively bars Trump from benefiting from it in any way once he takes office. However, other experts said the wording of the clause — in particular the use of the word "admitted" — could be interpreted to bar Trump from acquiring any interest in the project after becoming president but not to retaining a stake he already has.

The GSA sided with the lawyers who say Trump's becoming president does break the lease, according to the Democrats' letter.

Went to my shrink yesterday (standard f/u appointment - nothing specifically goin' on), and mentioned my anxiety and depression over the election and what's happening. He said he is hearing that a LOT, and it keeps getting worse.

Maybe this is the ultimate goal, to make all of us Dems and Progressives have heart attacks.

(Thinking further: deny climate change, which causes worse storms -- like snowstorms in the blue and purple states. We all have our "Coming to see you, Elizabeth!" moments whilst shoveling snow. Sneaky bastards.)

I feel like I could use therapy, that many of us need help dealing with this. Not only coming to terms with this new reality show that is our lives, but coping with the fear and anxiety that overtook us literally overnight.

It has physical effects too, not just emotional. My blood pressure is through the roof, I've gained weight from stress eating, and my immune system is shot from stress and anxiety. I work for the VA and knowing what they want to do to my beloved hospital which will have a direct effect on our veterans makes me physically sick.

We need a leader to guide us. I sincerely pray that on January 21, President Obama will be free to help us. I vow that I will support what he recommends and volunteer locally once we have a plan. We need to rebuild from our local communities up, this is exactly how they who will not be named did this since before 2008.

Find the light, join our light and then we will be the light.

for him, everything is his lawyers vs theirs. He does whatever he wants and leaves the rest up to the lawyers. Who would even do anything if he violated the constitution, much less a contract? He will own the Senate, House, Department of Justice, etc. The law only matters if there is someone to enforce it.

Because when he's president, there's no one have the spine to stand up to this orange-utan. We've already let him off without showing any taxes, any divestiture papers, wife's immigration proof, seal of health, this is just another paper for him. We need Democrats and Republicans with backbone to stand up to him.

...not just something demanded from Democratic presidents.

It may well be difficult to hold them accountable, but not impossible. I don't think we get there by the cynical route.

that respect for the law is indeed only demanded of Democrats.

Republicans do as they please and get a finger wag and a "naughty, naughty" as they go about doing the same things over and over.

A Dem lawmaker sends dick pics and his career is over. A Repub lawmaker dresses in a diaper for his visits to a hooker and is given a standing ovation when he returns, triumphantly to the Senate.

There are two sets of standards and we're on the losing end every time.

Only we are not at all that anymore. We have a criminal for president who colluded with a foreign power to steal the election and who knows no boundaries, recognizes no laws that conflict with his wants. I've said for years repugs were traitors, and all their actions since the election totally prove that to be true. It's all oligarchs, all the time, screw the law, screw judges, screw the US to death. He's coming to destroy public education, minimum wage, unions, clean air and water laws, independent judiciary, free speech and our constitution, birth control (make more slaves) and the ability to vote. repugs re behind him 100% so they are the total enemy too.
