Russian President Vladimir Putin’s net favorable rating among Republicans has climbed by an astonishing 56 percentage points since July 2014, according to a new YouGov/Economist poll.

Thirty-seven percent of Republicans polled hold a very or somewhat favorable opinion of Putin, while 47 percent hold a very or somewhat unfavorable opinion of him.

promised people benefits. He would get the trains running. And he actually delivered on that. He used the provision of actual benefits given to disappointed people to get their support. That allowed him to go further and further into the darkness, and allowed him to drag so many with him.

Trump is never going to deliver anything. He is already taking away. He is already losing support from those who voted for him. Gingrich is right now bragging that all that FDR accomplished will be reversed.

No one is going to follow along with that.

As far as the horrible ramifications, yes. We have elected a madman and I am bracing for disaster. But too many of us will oppose that disaster with all we have for us to ever become like Hitler's Germany.
