@realDonaldTrump
Has anyone looked at the really poor numbers of @VanityFair Magazine. Way down, big trouble, dead! Graydon Carter, no talent, will be out!

And it reveals everything you need to know about our next president.
Donald Trump is a poor persons idea of a rich person, Fran Lebowitz recently observed at The Vanity Fair New Establishment Summit. They see him. They think, If I were rich, Id have a fabulous tie like that. Nowhere, perhaps, does this reflection appear more accurate than at Trump Grill (which is occasionally spelled Grille on various pieces of signage). On one level, the Grill (or Grille), suggests the heights of plutocratic splendora steakhouse built into the basement of ones own skyscraper.
...
On another level, Trump Grill falls somewhat short of that lofty goal. The restaurant features a stingy number of French-ish paintings that look as though they were bought from Home Goods. Wall-sized mirrors serve to make the place look much bigger than it actually is. The bathrooms transport diners to the experience of desperately searching for toilet paper at a Venezuelan grocery store. And like all exclusive bastions of haute cuisine, there is a sandwich board in front advertising two great prix fixe deals.

THAT is THE CLASSIC mistake of every cook who tries to cook something fancy but lacks the skills and the fantasy to actually pull it off.
"Expensive = Good" does not count when it comes to recipes.
The dishes mentioned in the article. Oh boy.
A filet is round. It's a very specific muscle, sitting to the left and right of the spine near the small of the back, inside the body-cavity. That thing in the image is a cutlett with the bone removed. The filet-muscle is part of that cut of meat, but it's not a pure filet and CERTAINLY not the Filet Mignon as advertised in the menu.
And steamed broccoli. Any cook worth his salt would have added a tablespoon of sauce to that. Pure broccoli is just too boring. Especially if you try to make it fancy.
And the dessert:
Runny whipped cream? How f**king hard can it be to store whipped cream in the fridge or to add some of that starchy cream-stabilizer you get in the baking-section of every good supermarket?
No.
Wait.
Don't tell me.
This fancy upper-class restaurant uses whipped cream from the can and the whipped cream is runny because it's an old can that has run out of gas.

(146,189 posts)from a restaurant branded Trump. Like the man himself, the Trump Grill(e) appears to be pretending to be something it cannot be.
I would expect nothing different, and would not ever venture into such an establishment.

(63,221 posts)Nobody can hold a grudge like Trump. His insults are so pathetic. They are all the same, regardless of the target. He has such a limited vocabulary. He is too stupid to come up with a clever retort.
