Was watching Don Lemon last night, and there was a tech woman on (not someone who was at Trump's meeting with the high tech head honchos from Silicon Valley), who said she heard that the meeting was not productive, and that it was done just for a photo op. I totally agree with that, but my theory is that he also invited them so he could be with these amazing business people that would never have given him the time of day if he weren't president-elect. These are the people that he probably dreams about when he's sleeping....these are the business people that he wants to be....these are the people that when he was sitting in the room with them, gave him tingles up and down his leg (as Chris Matthews said when he talked to Obama!). Anyway, I think that was a big part of him wanting to have that meeting!

i think that's a big part of the meetings being in trump tower as well.

He sees himself as an autocrat, all-powerful and all-knowing. All out resistance to every one of his evil plots is the only recourse we have.

(20,996 posts)...the EGO boost, the power of importance is EVERYTHING TO TRUMP. This is why he ran for a job he really does not want to do, and seems so quick to foist off the actual responsibilities to his children and other underlings.

He doesn't give a damn what they have to say, he just wants to see them genuflect themselves in front of him, as he is the new king of the realm. And sadly they've all fallen into the trap. It's all just a show to feed the Madman's insatiable ego.
