More than treason, this WAS an act of war. We have been invaded without a shot being fired.

A fish smells from the head first. Trump is not the one to go after. It is Russia. But how do you go after Russia? Obama was pretty pretty much in "victory lap" mode when this bloodless coup went down. I can only imagine the chuckling going on in the Kremlin.

I shudder when I think how hard it is going to get for so many people if we don't find a way out of this. It is the culling of the herd.

The saddest part is the suffering that is going to go down. I live in a building with many seniors. I see them already struggling. Cutting corners, getting by.

they'd sell their souls to Putin, Hitler, Pol Pot or Kodos and Kang for $$$$$$. These treasonous bastards are less Americans than subjects of the Grand Duchy of Exxon Mobil.

will have to fix this. Human beings are killing our planet and they won't be stopped. Do they only think of today and money? Silly question, I guess.

Americans watch so much TV and listen to RW talk. The media does not have to tell the truth because our news is labeled "Entertainment" (Court of Appeals in Florida overturning a judgement against Fox News for lying).

People with limited education and even a lot with educations fall for the bubble of lies. It increases partisanship to new levels. The networks have psychologist help them keep viewers watching much longer by keeping them angry and afraid. It also makes them resistant to facts and the truth. To get them to come around they have to be deprogrammed like a cult member.

It's the RW control of the media that has made this all possible.

Many people are just basically brainwashed.

... right down to the local TV station, newspapers that rely on jaundiced wire services and the small-town newspapers. Censorship by omission makes it worse. It's not what they cover, it's what they DON'T cover.

Obama has been weak on this one. Protestations to Putin really
don't cut it. Announcing there will be consequences, public or
private, don't count for much. More sanctions and some diplomatic
hot wires, perhaps even expulsions, back in April, would have made
people take notice.

Now, with Trump, we will be giving new meaning to the term "Red
Carpet" - inviting them in with open arms!

Including backing Putin over him, writing letters to Iran, and inviting foreign heads of state to speak to them.
The GOP is getting their way and let no one ever forget that.

One of the parents is a national celebrity that came out big against Trump. The show was extremely critical of Trump in many spots. No mention of Russian hacking though. 90% about sexism, with a smidgen of racism thrown in. I am not sure that hacking is getting traction with the general public.

as a retaliatory measure but that would likely start a series of one-up incidents. Perhaps go for a preemptive strike and try to take Russia completely out of the picture...
