It took less than five minutes of my day.

I just got off the phone with the offices of my U.S. Representative and Senators (two republicans and a democrat).

US Rep

"I'm calling to let the Congressman know that I expect him to support Representatives Swalwell and Cummings' legislation to authorize an investigation into Russian interference in our election. His constituents deserve to know the extent of what happened and what can be done to prevent foreign influence in our elections in the future. I would expect nothing less from someone interested in preserving the integrity of our democratic principles."

Senators

"I'm calling to inform the Senator of my concern, in fact alarm, regarding Russian interference in our election. His constituents deserve to know the extent of what happened and what can be done to prevent foreign influence in our elections in the future. I'd also like to urge that Congress exercise its oversight of the FBI and determine their role in this unprecedented attack on our cherished democratic principles."

Less than five minutes. And phone calls are way more effective than email!

pass the message on.

I have a mixed representation also.--including Sen. Ron Johnson-a teabagger. He has to know what his constituents are thinking.

It's hard to tell for sure, but I got the feeling the staffer at Rubio's office was sympathetic and has similar feelings about the matter.

I agree. And quite likely, it may be even more important to contact Republicans than Democrats at this point.

I'm lucky to live in Washington State. Both of our Senators are Democrats, including "Fighting Patty" Murray, and Maria Cantwell. My congressional district boundaries were re-drawn a few years ago. I used to live in the WA-8th, but now it's the WA-10th. In both cases, my congressmen are Democrats.

I made my voice known. Don't know how much good it will do. But I'm not sitting idly by...

Perhaps especially if your elected officials aren't sympathetic, make the calls. At the very least, when your Senator Crumbum or Representative Weaselword is asked about it, you can say that hell yes they received at least one call from a constituent encouraging Congress to investigate these very serious allegations.

I just called the offices of Rep. Gwen Graham, Senator Bill Nelson, and Senator Marco Rubio. Rubio, as a Republican who does NOT support Trump might be a big help in this fight (even if I think he is an annoying twerp).

I also sent an email to my incoming US Representative, Al Lawson, asking that he support investigations into Russian hacking and Comey's interference and that in the long run he work to stop purging of eligible voters across the country.

I HATE calling people - absolutely hate it. And I embarrassed myself when I called Idaho Sen Crapo re: VAWA ( I was calling a bunch of Senators). Because I called him CRAP-o instead of long A Crape-o. Hey C-R-A-P spells crap to me.

So picking up the phone was scary

I live in Minnesota, so I just cheered on my Senators and told them I support them and urge them to keep pushing this.

But my Rep is Eric Paulsen, ugh. So I quoted from his damn web page about how he is all about homeland security and that seriously - nothing is a bigger threat to our democracy than another country messing with our elections.

I sounded like an idiot (because I have a cold and I was anxious), but on the plus side, probably sounded like the people who voted for him.

I was putting it off because I couldn't articulate the whole mess in a brief conversation. Your paragraphs are eloquent and get to the point.

I have absolutely no trust in republicans, we now know that McConnell was complicit and threatened retaliation against Obama if he went public. They benefited from Russian's act of cyber war against our Democracy and there's questions of their role in this.
