The ruling party uses every possible trick to rig elections in it's favor.

A draft dodger gets away with smearing a decorated Vietnam Vet.

Senate Reps make a pact to ruin President Obama from day one and then block his constitutional right to appoint a Supreme Court nominee in his last year.

2. You are not alone in feeling despondent. I live in NC

and Cooper beating McCrory was like a beacon of hope that we might fight our way back to a semblance of democracy.

I just fired off a LTTE of the Raleigh paper this morning about the undemocratic actions of the Republicans in NC. I am right
back in the abyss where I was on Nov. 9th.

I am truly afraid that we are entering a period of fascism in this country from which it will take more than a generation to recover--IF
the Republicans don't exterminate us all with nuclear weapons or allow climate change to destroy the environment which sustains life.
