Obama is reported telling Putin to "cut it out" in reference to Russia's hacking our election system

Do you remember when you were a kid, in the back seat of the car with your dad driving? You and your brother/sister doing whatever it took to annoy the other, like crossing the invisible line in the center of the back seat, remember? What did your dad say? "Cut it out....." followed by some form of threat like. "Or I'll stop the car and leave you on the side of the road" . Well I would like to remind us all that we are not in a car, Russia is not a child and leaving Russia at the side of the planet won't work. Just like leaving us/me at the side of the road wasn't going to happen and I knew it.

At that same press conference, Obama added in some pretty snide remarks about Putin's Russia, calling Russia a small, weak country that "does not produce anything that others want to buy, except oil and gas and arms."

When you treat a bully with disdain and contempt, perhaps "cut it out" is very appropriate.
