But in some countries there are safeguards. The possibility of Germany electing a Trump as Bundeskanzler is still practically zero. Even Poland's rightist government seems tame compared with some of the governors we have back home. It's bad enough that we have governors like LePage, Walker, Snyder, Scott, Abbott and Brownback, to name a few. But the fact that we are allowing Trumppence to rule our land for the next four years baffles just about everyone except the Russians.

I'm thinking of going back to my childhood routine when we were living in Europe right after the war...we kept a suitcase under our beds and we would periodically change out the clothes to match our growing bodies. ... and I'm hearing this more and more frequently from Canadian friends - they are cancelling all plans to visit the US - some of whom usually do so several times a year.

The reason they most often cite is that they can see tensions rising in the US on a daily basis now, and assume it will get progressively worse - and they don't want to be anywhere where people have easy access to guns. They're not afraid of Trump - they are afraid of how citizens are going to react to Trump, and the fact that a lot of those citizens are armed.

The Canadians I hear not wanting to go to the States now - it's not any kind of organized attack they fear; it's the random gun carrier who gets riled in the middle of a coffee shop, or in a crowded parking lot.

They figure that the tensions caused by this election are going to escalate - and they don't want to be "collateral damage" when bullets start flying.

Not to "move" or immigrate, just stay for as long as I can at a time. I've set up my business so I telecommute. I've been in Mexico for almost 3 months and each day that goes by staying here sounds like a better and better idea.

I don't even have to go back to the states to keep my visitor status. I just need to cross any border every 6 months. It's beautiful, cheap and the only trumpers I run into are few and far between on the beach.

What happens before inauguration day will help me make up my mind. One part of me wants to go home and fight. The other doesn't. I don't know. Been feeling very discouraged about what I'd be fighting for based on the developments over the last few days.

I have no savings, laughably little retirement. My wife and I have been marginally employed for nearly a decade. We barely make it paycheck to paycheck, and I know that the incoming administration is going to make even that impossible. Our resources were depleted a long tome ago, so the best I can do is just roll with it until it finally kills me.

The Republicans historically forget that when you leave someone with nothing, you leave them with nothing to lose. Things are going to start hurting very badly for a great many Americans, including his most ardent followers. The Bush administration just provided a taste of what's in store for us.

Donald Trump appears to adore Benito Mussolini. He should look up what happened to Benito and his family once the bloom came off. It wasn't very pleasant.

no MSNBC, no fox, no CNBC.

I then made a donation to the ACLU and Planned Parenthood.

I sat down and wrote a letter to my Senators and representative, and also wrote a letter to Schumer, telling them all that I expect them to fight for the Safety Net Programs, women's rights, civil rights, labor rights, environmental rights, and that includes blocking appointments that represent racist, sexist, and xenophobic policies.

My passport is all up to date, but realistically, places like Canada are not that easy to get into as a permanent resident

All good actions. Thanks.

I think we learn from what each other does, and empower each other.

78. Work on state or local issues as I can. And resist Trump by constantly saying he is the worst ever.

The more people who hate him, the more he gets mad, the stupider he gets, and better for us in midterms. I shall also bother his fans by pointing out that they are idiots for being conned, then laugh at them and act like I know secret they don't know and be really awesome at all times.

I like pointing out his plans for SS and Medicare, then reminding my white republicanfriends who seem to think white folks are not on entitlement programs, that the money they live on is an entitlement. Then I like asking them, "Damn, so, what y'all gon do? I never expected to get mine but, how you gonna vote yourself out of your own money? Either you rich or you crazy, either way, youfinna be broke just like the rest of us soon.' It scares the absolute shit out of them. I am not sure why.

I also will keep pointing out how BAD getting rid of these programs are gonna be for, drumroll please.... White people!!! Seeing how they are the majority of folks on poverty programs and SS and medicare. Funny thing? When I tell them that welfare has majority white recipients, they cannot believe me. I like to remind them that the nation was waywayway whiter when our elderly were young and that it's real sad that they voted to toss their own white grandpeople out on the streets with no money or healthcare. Plus, everbody know blackfolks bring they old folks home to live with fambam, so, what yall gonna do when granny cant pay for her subsidized elderly housing and medical coverage?

I like to do this one person at a time. It scares the shit out of them in a way it never did before Trump won. I had a guy said I was attacking him and hoping his gran-gran got kicked on the streets... I told him no, of course not, I voted for Hillary. You voted to rob your granny and give it to king Trump. Own it. Man up and own your shit. And yes, he fucking scammed you. Still love him? If you do, your dumb.

That's my plan. Passive aggressive activity designed to make his fans hate him. Lucky for me I live in a Trump state so I have neighbors and aquaintences all over town that were allbout it bout it over Trump who now GROAN and MOAN and tell me I'm 'not being FAIR!!!', when I bring up. My Trumpism of the day. I want his name to piss them off. I enjoy it.

No not to be part of some armed resistance. Rather because some Trump humpers have shown themselves to be unstable.

I don't like it but if it comes down to me or one of those nut cases I'd rather that it be them.
