First, a mystery.
A beautiful old cedar disappeared from city park!
Oh, wait, there it is! Compliments of the citizens of Mobile. No charge.
Packing them in.
It starts! OMG, packed house and buses lined up bringing more (M$M version).
But do they really fill a stadium, or does it just "look" like it?
"Those cameras never move!"
What he sees.

(4,823 posts)Thanks for this Yallerdawg. Hope you can get the local press on the grinch who stole the Christmas Tree! Looks like not too many of the press made the rally.

(32,078 posts)I suspect that Mother Nature is going to come back and kick the asses of all of those involved here. That area is prone to hurricanes and tornadoes. Lots of alligators, huge snapping turtles, and big-ass rattlesnakes, too.

(1,730 posts)but really? Our President elect is holding poorly attended rallies instead of addressing his numerous issues with regard to conflict of interest? Maybe even answering random questions from the press regarding current events?
He's a fucking coward.
I'm afraid our press isn't much better.

(58,785 posts)dedicated but brave. My eye was grabbed by this photo of shameless (and extremely tacky) slave-state nostalgia by the "Azalea Trail Maids" greeting Trump at the airport. They don't know it yet, but these women are busted: they'll never be able to tell their children and grandchildren they were too principled to vote for Trump.

(14,853 posts)There was not a single call that Trump deemed too private for Schwartz to hear. He loved the attention, Schwartz recalls. If he could have had three hundred thousand people listening in, he would have been even happier.
Schwartz kept a journal in which he expressed his amazement at Trumps personality, writing that Trump seemed driven entirely by a need for public attention.
Schwartz told me that Trumps need for attention is completely compulsive, and that his bid for the Presidency is part of a continuum. Hes managed to keep increasing the dose for forty years, Schwartz said. After hed spent decades as a tabloid titan, the only thing left was running for President. If he could run for emperor of the world, he would.
He saw Trump as driven not by a pure love of dealmaking but by an insatiable hunger for money, praise, and celebrity. Often, after spending the day with Trump, and watching him pile one hugely expensive project atop the next, like a circus performer spinning plates, Schwartz would go home and tell his wife, Hes a living black hole!

(12,212 posts)Wow.
I love: "He's a living black hole."
The problem is, that he is now playing DIRECTLY into people's lives. Things aren't going to be much on the positive side from here on out. It's going to get worseand there is nothing he can do about it.

(107,860 posts)It made Trump look like an okay guy. It wasn't till a few years later when Trump declared bankruptcy on his Atlantic City casinos when I started to notice that he wasn't quite the entrepreneur he claimed to be. I mean it's hard to lose money when the game is rigged in your favor.
I'm from the Seattle area where we have several self made high tech billionaires. It became more and more obvious that Trump was nothing but a poser.
It's too bad many others still haven't caught on to what a self promoting con job Trump is.
