The coup is complete.

Sadly they have all branches of government , complete control of the media - broadcast - print , support of wall street and the assistance from the financial side . The agencies entrusted to protect the USA and the Constitution have failed us and/or climbed onboard with those who's goal is total control . Do not see an out at this time.

We can’t rely on the media, and we can’t rely on the internet. However, we can hand distribute facts to mail-boxes and/or doorways. People who are Trump believers will not read our internet messages. However, they may read our hand-distributed messages. Not all of them, but maybe enough of them to make a difference.

Trump is going to attack social security, medicare, obama-care, the minimum wage, unions, and anything that helps working people. The media and rw-radio will blame any subsequent problems on the Democrats. Hand-distributed messages could get enough people thinking to expose the republican lies.

We can fight back.

How is that possible?

A tRumputin DOJ will completely destroy as many voting rights acts as they WANT to--Voter disenfranchisement/voter suppression also on 'roids because this same DOJ won't even bother investigating alleged voter suppression in red states practiced on Dems. They'll turn a blind eye or in some cases won't even bother investigating voter suppression as it relates to Dems. And you know that redistricting will be taking place in the SAME year as the 2020 GE, and I'm very much afraid that there will be MORE cyber-hacking practiced on Dems by the time 2020 rolls around. In fact, I'm not even seeing a Dem President in at least the next 2 GE cycles. Gawd, and I hate thinking about how the thugs will be getting a 60+ Senate and that will be another freaking' nightmare. All 3 branches of government belonging to THESE thuglicans/tea party wing-nuts?

So, with Dems suffering MORE voter suppression/voter disenfranchisement, MORE voter-cross-checking, MORE voter purging from the rolls--all of these things on 'roids and all done to Dems AGAIN, and with whoever tRumputin and his DOJ allows to cyber-hack us so thuglicans can retain and expand upon COMPLETE power, Dems are going to be on the outside looking in for a LONG time to come IMHO.

That would be the intelligence agencies. For the most part they consider themselves patriots whether right or wrong. i think they have way more information on the Russian connection than they are letting on and the reason they haven't sat down with the congressional intelligence committees is because they do not trust them. Specifically they do not trust the Republicans with the intelligence they have. They understand what the republicans are capable of. The intelligence community does not want to show their hand.....least not yet.
Now if that isn't a stretch to hold out hope on then I don't know what is.

That ship has sailed. I know Current wasn't wasn't watched by many people, but for Al Gore to sell it to Al Jezeera America. YIKES!

But then again, I guess Oprah or some other really rich left-leaner's just aren't in the market to band together to start a left-leaning news network.

Evolution teaches us that the best two strategies for survival are 1) to fight tooth and nail, and 2) find a hole to hide in until danger blows over.

Both strategies work. Only one of them will do any good for our country and our planet, and it isn't the one that involves burrows in the ground.

As some who's LIVED in a country where Democracy was overthrown, I find throwing out phrases like "coup" to be lazy and simple-minded. Russian hacking of the DNC, allowing Wikileaks to publish emails about political campaign tactics didn't change many minds, and despite some of the claims here, there's no evidence that voting machine hacking occuered. Bottom line, the Republicans won because we let them.
