Is there anything Trump could do that even Republicans would have to impeach him?

It seems to me that without some blue state Republicans in the House and 5 Republican Senators, he will be able to get away with anything and disprove Gerald Ford's statement that, "We are a nation of laws and not men."

Begin frantically stumping for policies granting healthcare to the poor and food to the starving, all the while quoting the Gospels and saying that's what Jesus tells us we should do. On national television, he could grab some random black dude from the audience and hug him, tearfully exclaiming, "I love you, my brother in Christ Jesus!"

He'd be impeached and convicted immediately in an emergency session of Congress, before the sun even rose the next morning. Hell, they'd probably even implement a "second amendment" solution so that no one else gets any ideas.

once he got to the WH but they need the dumbass to keep the attention off of what they are up to. So unless he does something so terrible we are stuck with him.

Trump doesn't "stay in line", they won't have any qualms about impeachment. None of them have any personal loyalty to trump, I'm sure several would like the VP spot, and it's not like they'll have to invent a justification for it.

in a scandal.

I can see impeaching him to save the House member or Senator. Otherwise, Trump would still be in the WH and the member/senator would be in litigation.

IF Trump goes in heavy on his plans to tear up trade agreements and takes a TRUE protectionist stance, then there will be enough Republican opposition to him to side with the majority of Democrats and impeach and then convict him. And something like this could happen in the second or third year of his term. It really depends on how strongly he believes in protectionism and opposes globalization and how strongly he pushes for it.

One thing to remember this entire election was a dust-up between sections of the bourgeoisie. Between the billionaires and millionaires who's profits are mostly made domestically and the billionaires and millionaires who's profits are mostly made internationally. The Republicans in Congress are, for the most part, globalists. As are the Democrats in Congress. Trump, being a real estate guy, is by nature part of the domestic sector as are his supporters in the ruling class. That's why the old guard Congressional Republicans didn't care for him during the campaign and supported JEB! Or Kasich. Or anybody, but Trump.

But there won't be any problems for the first and maybe the second year because they are ALL supportive of his aims for destroying what's left of the legacies of FDR and Johnson's Great Society programs. And destroying the power of labor of course. The contradictions will come to a head after that.
