Go get a damn briefing!: Internet shames Trump for tweeting petty insults at Bill Clinton

SARAH K. BURRIS
20 DEC 2016 AT 08:56 ET

Trump’s Twitter is a flutter after his recent foreign policy tweets are being criticized by intelligence analysts who would like to see a more reasoned approach to conclusions on the world stage. As if Trump is now trying to distract from the Berlin-Turkey tweets, he’s waging a Twitter war against former President Bill Clinton.

Clinton noted after the election that Trump “doesn’t know much,” when it comes to issues much less running a country. “One thing he does know is how to get angry, white men to vote for him.” He joined other New York electors in casting an electoral ballot for his spouse, former Secretary Hillary Clinton and told reporters he had never been prouder to cast a ballot.

“Bill Clinton stated that I called him after the election. Wrong, he called me (with a very nice congratulations),” Trump tweeted on Tuesday morning. “He ‘doesn’t know much’…especially how to get people, even with an unlimited budget, out to vote in the vital swing states (and more). They focused on wrong states.”

The idea that a former president, who won reelection, doesn’t know how to campaign was laughable to folks who watched the twitterstorm. They took to the keyboards to give Trump a schooling on reality.

Actually @realDonaldTrump, @billclinton knows a lot about getting people to vote. He was president twice, which is something you won't know.

@realDonaldTrump Bill should have went to Trump University instead of Oxford. Then he would have been an unpresidented Bigly winner!

use the non-word "incidences" when he meant "incidents" on NPR this morning. Unfortunately he did it about a dozen times.

From Merriam-Webster.com

Definition of incidence
1
a : angle of incidence
b : the arrival of something (as a projectile or a ray of light) at a surface
2
a : an act or the fact or manner of falling upon or affecting : occurrence
b : rate of occurrence or influence <a high incidence of crime

Examples of incidence in a sentence
an increased incidence of diabetes
a high incidence of criminal

Did You Know?
The words incident, incidence, and instance may seem similar (and, in fact, incident and incidence are closely related), but they are not used identically. In current use, incidence usually means "rate of occurrence" and is often qualified in some way ("a high incidence of diabetes&quot . Incident usually refers to a particular event, often something unusual or unpleasant ("many such incidents go unreported&quot . Instance suggests a particular occurrence that is offered as an example ("another instance of bureaucratic bumbling&quot ; it can also be synonymous with case ("many instances in which the wrong form was submitted&quot . The plural incidences sometimes occurs in such contexts as "several recent incidences of crime," but this use is often criticized as incorrect.

"incidents" of rape. "Incidence" is properly used this way: "The incidence of rape is quite high".

This is important. If we are to succeed we need to relentlessly poke, pick, pinch and prod the corruption. We must not let up. It must be so pervasive as to create doubt, disruption and instability within the unpresident's organization. (I refuse to say the name. The "T" word should be forced to reside in infamy! I will die before I will ever amplify that perverted signal!!)

Resist.
Disrupt.
Attack.
Relentlessly.

Either through a direct or an indirect approach. Whatever suits your style.

We MUST do these things. Throw and keep them off balance. As of inaugural day we will be "sleeping with the enemy" and anyone who has survived an abusive relationship knows what that means.

Former President Clinton knows this. A war of words but no less, a war. This is where we are, embrace it.

This is one of the reasons why we lost.

When people don't show up we lose. I am guessing many of these people didn't vote.

Similar to OWS we need people to vote not sleep in a park.
