...and speculating on his future as a Presidential candidate right now is ridiculous.

That he has the drive to spend the next four years running, or raising the hundreds of millions of dollars necessary.

Personally, I'd LOVE to have someone run from outside the northeast; I just don't believe in fantasizing about candidates based on minimal information.

He has an excellent grasp of policy, can think on his feet, and him being an SNL alum will get under Trump's thin skin.

Outside of the core of Kansas City and St. Louis themselves and the speck that is Mizzou, the rest of the state is as deeply red as Alabama, maybe even more so because it is whiter overall. He would have won if every white, rural voter in the state hadn't shown up to vote a straight Republican ticket.

The Democratic Party would be wise to put him forward speaking on behalf of Democrats to the media and local organizations across the entire country. Kander, Kamala Harris, Gavin Newsom and the Castro brothers are the future of the party, at least today they are.

They need to be our talking heads on every Sunday morning news show and every other televised moment where a Democratic leader or spokesperson can talk to the public. Our party actually looks like and represents the values of America. We need to start promoting those things.

She's fairly conservative for a Democrat, and if I have to be honest, I believe she won her seat mainly because of name recognition. (Her dad, Jim Klobuchar, was a longtime and much-loved columnists for the Minneapolis StarTribune.)

She's smart, and likable, but as a national candidate she'd be crushed I'm afraid.

Since Republicans love to paint our party as weak on foreign policy, we should have more young veterans on television and running for office. Kander, Duckworth, and Gabbard are all wonderful whether you agree with them on every issue or not.
