Nina Turner just said that we have lost over 900 legislative seats since 2010

On Ari Melber, he is good, the magnificent Nina Turner just said that we have lost over 900 legislative seats since 2010. Wow, we have got to go back to then to do our autopsy.

2000..Gore cheated out of Presidency, 2004 Kerry cheated out of Presidency, 2008 and 2012 Obama won by such a huge margin they couldn't steal it.
This year Hillary wins by 3 million votes and still cheated out of the Presidency.
So, if they can steal the Presidency 3 out of the last 5 elections what makes us think they can't steal legislative seats by the hundreds??

During an MSNBC interview with Thomas Gibson who assumed she was a Clinton supporter. Soon as he called Turner a Clinton supporter. She emphatically shook her head no and said she isn't supporting any candidate as she always supports the American people.

So I doubt many Democrat would want to have anything to do with her or place her in a role of leadership.

She is so not a goddess. And not well liked in her own state if the last election she ran went so badly. If she ran the dnc like her own campaign was run we would lose fifty states

The low Democratic turnout gave Republicans the opportunity during a Census year to take over many state houses and to be in charge of redistricting. Democrats actually out perform Republicans in the vote counts, but because Republicans were able to set the district boundaries, the margins at which Democrats have to win to actually be elected have increased to levels that are unheard of. I think I heard it said somewhere that Republicans have something like a 7% cushion in many of their districts. A typical 2% to 4% margin will not win you a seat if you are a Democrat.

It isn't so much about an autopsy as a way to mobilize for the next Census election or to challenge gerrymandering in a way that will make the districts competitive again.

Couple that with the fact the Republicans are more consistent voters and you have a recipe for disaster.

I hate using trite sayings but, "Democrats fall in love, Republicans fall in line" has a ring of truth to it. We like to be energized by charismatic leaders while Republicans tend just to vote against the Democrat so for the Republican. 2010 though, that was a specially horrible year and is one of the main causes of our current situation. When they got the right to draw the districts, they took full advantage and built a systemic firewall against democracy.

And that is very doable by doubling down on voter suppression/voter disenfranchisement run amok in 2018 and 2020, with some cyber-hacking allowed to happen which would REALLY insure them being able to re-write the constitution in their OWN male, right-winged, racist, sexist, homophobic 1% er image..

Voter suppression, civil rights violations, voter disenfranchisement, massive amounts of purging of Dems on voter rolls will NOT be investigated--but ENCOURAGED--under a tRumputin oligarchy.

The GOP can call for a Constitutional Convention where changes to the Constitution can be proposed, but they must still be adopted by 3/4 of states to actually take effect.

The strategy where we tried to win everywhere? As it turns out we actually won in more places when we applied that strategy. After abandoning the strategy where we tried to win everywhere in favor of focusing on key races; we won in fewer places.
