Reports that senior Michigan Democrats rigged the process for choosing electors of the new DNC chairman and threw Bernie Sanders supporters out of a party meeting suggest that Democratic elites will not allow Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison to become the party’s leader without a fight.

At Observer, Michael Sainato says the ejection occurred at a Michigan Democratic Party committee meeting held Dec. 3. “Unfortunately, rather than learning from Hillary Clinton’s presidential election loss, and sincerely welcoming Bernie Sanders supporters into the party after scolding them for more than a year,” Sainato writes, “the Democratic establishment has continued treating progressives as second class citizens.”

I think Sainato is a bit hyperbolic. What we are seeing though is a fight in the party for leadership, and progressives are attempting to take control over the party apparatus state by state.

3. Sanders Supporter Called Police On Me

I was at the Whole Foods I saw this guy and recognized his voice & face from a video my son took at the county convention. One of the SuperD's at the convention... a Hispanic man, 70's a Viet Nam veteran who has run three halfway houses for decades here and yes he get government money to help with the cost was out in the hall when a young man started berating him in a most condescending way.

This overbearing supporter was berating this man for not supporting Sanders because he had won the caucus. Only 127,000 people participated in shit show caucus. Manny was for Hillary back in 08 and would not vote for Obama either who won the caucus But Hillary supporters never went crazy at the convention...I was a delegate back then and in 04 for Dean but we didn't go crazy either when he eventually lost.

A whole crowd had gathered to see what was all the commotion was - this young man was yelling - at one point Manny said, "be nice". Manny and his friends decide they've had enough and start to walk away but this guy keeps jumping in front of them - at which point Manny takes his hand and lightly pushed him out of the way. He starts yelling he's been assaulted and there's witnesses - he's yelling...it was crazy.


I said you're that guy at the convention who was berating Manny and he comes over and gets super close to me and starts splaining to me how Manny was making money off prisoners and blah, blah, blah....schooling me on who won the state...I couldn't get a word in at all so I started to walk away but he kept blocking me and wouldn't shut up with his bullshit I said "move" and he wouldn't

He's 6 ft tall, I'm 5 feet, I'm disabled had my cane I'm shaking - he's scaring me. we were in a small space the store was crowded so I took my left hand and touched his waist and moved him and he got out of my way ..OMG he get's hysterical and started claiming I assaulted him just like he did at the convention.

He followed me out to my car - with 911 saying I assaulted him - gave them my licence plate number - I drove away.

The only thing I wanted to tell him was that the Sanders campaign told me the next day on the phone that they knew who I was talking about and that he was no longer welcome at the campaign or would be a delegate at the state convention.

It was unbelievable ... I'm pretty sure he didn't vote for Hillary

4. The centrist wing of the party is planning to purge us for apostasy.

They will beat us to death in the streets before they let the Democratic Party change. I'm scared for the future.
