Dear Secretary Clinton

I love you.

I really do. I don't use those words idly. I reserve them for people who make a real impact in my life, and for whom I feel genuine affection for and connection with. People whom I trust would make sacrifices for me, and in return I would gladly make sacrifices for. Considering how difficult those criterion are for people I've never personally met, it's quite astounding I apply them to you.

I too am an American woman competing in a man's word. I too am held in high regard in my chosen professional arena by those whose opinion I value and trust. I identify with you.

Yet I don't.

You vastly eclipse me in accomplishment and commitment. Your actions and your dedication have helped countless people whereby my humble achievements have touched the lives of but a fraction. Your grace under the most obscene pressures is nothing short of ineffable and infinitely admirable. I am in awe. I suspect from what I have read and seen of you, that you would dismiss my seeming hero worship as unseemly and unworthy. That is precisely why you are so cherished in my esteem.

I wish you untold happiness and peace. You deserve it and more!

Dear DU,

I'm not naive. I've no expectation this will ever be seen by Secretary Clinton's eyes. I just had to express it. Thanks for giving me a place to let it out.

I'll survive. But not profoundly unchanged. Still reeling six plus weeks later.

I hated it that so many people (usually men) promoted the idea that she was unlikeable.

I know many women, like you, who feel great affection and even love for Hillary and what she represents.

Thank you for voicing this for us.

Its President Clinton, she won by 3,000,000 votes. The idiot that got appointed is just the fascist figurehead for 4 years.

Hillary's strength in the face of relentless adversity is much like President Obama's.

I admire and respect her.
