Trump and the Rs are Losers, and they're LOSING, bigly

Never in my 62 years have I seen the American public react to a president-elect the way we are reacting to Trump. The loathing, distrust and anger Trump inspires in the good people of this land is unprecedented.

Can anyone recall celebrities en masse refusing to perform for a presidential inauguration? In the past, such an invite was considered a rare honor. When the president-elect called, you jumped at the chance to honor the office and the man (yes, sadly, it's still an all-male club). This time, the celebrities are busy issuing press releases saying "don't bother asking."

People around the country are livid, and they are emboldened to express their disgust with Trump and the Rs openly. Even the usually spineless Congressional Ds have announced that they will be fighting Trump's appointments with a fervor we have never before seen.

The Rs think that they will be able to pass any law they want and force their Buy-bull inspired worldview on the rest of us. To them we say, "see you in court, assholes!" We are still a nation of laws, and passing unconstitutional legislation will not stand. Oh, it may take some time to strike them down, but they will be struck down.

The Rs are desperate people. They thought the end was nigh going into the election. They really can't believe their fortune. But they've made the mistake of telling us their plans NOW, while the wounds are still fresh and people are ready to mobilize. If the Rs had any brains, they would have spent the time since the election pretending to be moderates. They would have spent the first 6 months of the Trump administration lulling the country into a sense of normalcy before launching their Xian jihad on the country. But they are zealots, and zealots want everything yesterday and cannot abide those who don't think exactly like them.

The Rs made the decision to tie their fortunes to Trump. That's a little bit like the cavalry tying their hopes to Custer - looks good in the moment, but ends up being a disaster in practice.

We're going to win this. Justice, history and the emerging demographics of this country are all on our side. All we need do is practice a little political jujitsu and use the Rs supposed strength against them, the same ways celebrities are using Trump's craving for acceptance against him. The Rs will be defeated, badly, because at the end of the day, they just can't help being who they are, and the country is sick and tired of these fuckers.

We are the winners and we will prevail.

The Republicans always just make a huge mess of everything and then the Democrats have to come in and fix it again?

republicans haven't the slightest idea on how to govern, they only know control/rule. Everything they touch gets fucked up. And, you're right in that the Democrats come in and repair it.
Hopefully, the r's won't be in power for as long as bush, the idiot son, was in office.

They don't care. We are not going to win anything. I think they will do anything they want, until we lose everything.

Please, enough of the WEAKNESS. It is the very reason we lose in the first place. Right wingers unite and win with strength. People on our side reflect the mega-pathetic mindset of despair, worry, and LOSING instead of the mindset of DESTROYING THE ENEMY which is what politics is. Stand up with guts and FIGHT all the time, during elections and all the rest of the time too.

in the next two elections. When we do we need to make sure we have politicians not beholden to Special Interests. If we can do that we can bust up the media oligarchy and rewrite rules concerning news (truthfulness required), advertising kept separate from the news departments, and the press.

Bust up the banking oligarchy and institute campaign finance reform. We need Publicly Funded Elections and an end to campaign donations, Super PACs, dark money, Lobbyists, and the Revolving Door.

The rich and powerful will always be trying to take advantage so we must remain vigilant and stop them from doing it again! Trump may be the thing to get this accomplished sooner rather than later, though the cost will be so high.

three quarters of the state houses or legislatures through stolen elections, fraud and gerrymandering.
If 2018 is more of the same they will have over 60 seats in the senate.

I wish we could lose as bigly.

I am going to use this line of thought when I see my son over the holidays. He's very depressed about all this and I'm a bit worried about him.
