What a Trade War With China Could Do to the Economy

I came across a telling report from the ‘Fiscal Times’ today on Agent Orange’s coming trade war with China. This will make the Deplorables and one-tooth wonders who love tRump and shop at Walmart cry.

(Excerpt): A border tax would likely boost inflation by increasing the cost of everyday items imported from China and elsewhere. Retailers and producers would be in a lurch: Either pass the costs onto consumers or allow profitability to be pinched. Higher inflation would encourage more rapid Federal Reserve interest rate hikes.

many of those were appealed to the WTO and reversed with penalties latter on (particularly many imposed by Bush). Some were upheld (including many imposed by Obama.

For some reason, most of the sellers on EBay are in China. You can order a little emoji pillow like kids hang from zipper pulls for a dollar with free shipping. The USPS has a deal where if you ship items from China, it costs less to have them delivered to your door than from across the street. Obviously it makes it impossible for US based shippers to be competitive.
